Blue Lagoon Island
Beaches and Dolphin Swim OPEN

Blue Lagoon Island
Blue Lagoon Island — featured in the hit movie "Splash" — is located in the Bahamas, approximately 25 minutes from Nassau and Paradise Island.

The island is home to a Dolphin Sanctuary where you can enjoy "Swimming with the Dolphins". Plan a fun Team-Building event or treat your Top Performers to a Dolphin Encounter — and Swim with the Dolphins.

Swim with the Dolphins
and FUN Dolphin Encounters
— Blue Lagoon Island

Dolphin Swim & Encounter
Visit Blue Lagoon's natural sea water Dolphin Sanctuary and enjoy touching, kissing, hugging, dancing and swimming with the dolphins — several of which starred in the movie "Flipper."

Sea Lion Encounters
During your visit to Dolphin Encounters, be sure to visit the new Sea Lion Habitat. Six California Sea Lions (five females and one male) joined the marine mammal family at Dolphin Encounters on Blue Lagoon Island after surviving Hurricane Katrina and the destruction of their former home in Mississippi.

Stingray City Marine Park CLOSED
Blue Lagoon's Stingray City is CLOSED due to significant storm damage.

For more info on Stingray Adventures and Tours, check out Blackbeard's Cay.

Blue Lagoon Island Beaches
Blue Lagoon Island Beaches
After being closed for over two years due to "Hurricane Frances" damage, Blue Lagoon Island Beaches reopened at the end of June 2008.

Blue Lagoon Island
Gift Store

Buy t-shirts, jewelry and other dolphin memorabilia at the island's gift store.

Ferry to Blue Lagoon Island
Scenic boat trips offering views of Nassau Harbor and surrounding islands are available to and from Blue Lagoon Island —  boats leave the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal several times a day.

Travel Tip
When planning your trip, look for flights and cruises that go to Nassau. Several cruise ships offer day trips to Blue Lagoon Island.
