Paradise Island, Bahamas
Largest Casino in the Bahamas
Atlantis, Paradise Island Casino is the largest in the Bahamas and
It's just like Las Vegas...on an island!
The only difference between here and Las Vegas, is that in Vegas,
24/7 — at
Atlantis, the casino is relatively empty
early in the day. But during the
afternoon — and especially at
night — the place is jumping.
Look for the Crystal Gate, the public entry to the
casino. You can't miss the dramatic crystal
sculpture by artist Dale Chihuly (photo above). For those of you
who have visited the
Bellagio resort in Las Vegas, you'll recognize his work.
Legal Drinking/Gambling Age
in the Bahamas*
The legal age in The Bahamas for Drinking, Gambling (non-residents only allowed
to gamble in The Bahamas), and Voting is 18.
Poseidon's Throne — located just outside the casino entrance
by the enormous Crystal
Gate glass sculpture — is one of the resort's most popular
settings for picture-taking. Climb aboard the massive "chair" and
smile. During our entire stay, whenever we passed through this
way, we never saw
the throne empty.
