Shopping in Bermuda

Front Street
in Hamilton
Popular shopping areas in Bermuda include Front Street in Hamilton,
the Royal Naval Dockyard, and the historic town of St. George's.
Although Bermuda is known for its mild, temperate climate, some
of the best buys can be found in British and Irish winter ware
Irish woollen sweaters, hats, scarves, and mittens. Other bargains
include jewelry, Swiss watches and clocks, perfume, liquor, crystal,
porcelain, pottery and the island's famous Bermuda shorts.
One evening, during a Front Street Art & Music Festival,
we passed children on the sidewalk playing chess (photo below).

St. George's
The nearby town of St. George's has
quaint little shops and some of the island's most popular historical
attractions.
Shopping Hours
Most of Bermuda's shops in Hamilton and St. George's are open Mon-Sat
9am-5pm some may be open later.
Cruise Ship Docking &
Shopping
If you're taking a cruise to Bermuda, check to see where your Cruise
Ship is docking some ships dock across town at the Dockyard.

Our Celebrity Cruise Ship docked at St. George's
(photo below) and again, directly on Front Street, in Hamilton (photos
left and above, shot from our cabin window).
All we had to do, was
walk down our ship's gangplank and the stores on Front Street were
right there no hassle whatsoever, and very convenient.
