St. George's

St. George's — the oldest and most historic settlement on the island — was founded in 1612, and was once the capital of Bermuda.

Arrange for a Group Tour and walk the cobble-stoned streets of St. George's — it's loaded with history a fun places to visit. The Horizon Celebrity Cruise Ship docks at St. George's — a five-minute walk into town, it's a convenient stop for sightseeing and shopping.

St. Peter's Church — located on Duke of York Street — it's the oldest Anglican Church in the Western Hemisphere (photo left).

Stocks & Pillory and Historical Tribunal Reenactment
The Stocks, Pillory, Whipping Post and Ducking Stool — replicas of those used to punish criminals over 400 years ago — and an amusing Historical Tribunal Reenactment are some of St. George's more popular attractions.

St. George's Historical Society Museum — built in 1700, the museum's collection includes a letter from George Washington.

Heritage Night
Celebrate Heritage Night, a festive Street Fair, featuring local arts and crafts vendors, food, beverages, and live entertainment. Tues 7-10pm.
