Description & Atmosphere
The main dining room is spacious and elegantly decorated
with paneled Chinese artwork, scenes of Guilin, and beautiful rosewood
furniture. Floor-to-ceiling windows along one side of the restaurant
overlook the Li River and promenade.
Food
The Chinese food here rates "right up there"
— it's some of the best we've ever eaten.
Excellent Dim Sum. Other standouts include: Sweet
Corn & Diced Chicken Soup, Sautéed Snow Peas with Sesame
Oil, Deep Fried Crispy Chicken with Lemon, Sautéed Eggplant
in Ginger Sauce, Sautéed Diced Chicken with Cashew Nuts,
and "Guilin" Style Fried Rice Noodles.
Incredible desserts, especially the Caramelized
Apples & Bananas. Yum!

Peking Duck
Be sure to order the Peking Duck. The menu offers two variations
— traditional-style with thin Pancakes and Plum Sauce; and
Shredded with Pineapple. Both dishes are amazingly good and portions
are large.
Tea Connoisseur
The restaurant even has a special "Tea Connoisseur"
offering guests a mixture of Special Teas of the Day. Boiling
water is poured
tableside
from a long narrow-spouted kettle into
a small cup filled with loose-leaf tea — from an arched
height of at least one foot (see photo below). He makes it look
so easy,
but
we wouldn't
recommend trying
it
at home!
Entertainment
Live entertainment — emphasizing Chinese musical instruments
— is performed nightly. This is quite typical in most of the
hotels' Chinese Restaurants.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Reservations
Dinner reservations are recommended.
Service
Excellent service...and friendly.
