China's Premier Cultural Entertainment Theatre Restaurant
Unique Dinner Show features a performance of Changan Music and Dance — originated over 1,000 years ago in Changan, the capital of The Tang Dynasty, now known as Xi'an.

Performances by the The Tang Dynasty Song and Dance Troupe are staged in Four Segments:

Prelude Instrumental Ensemble — The first performance is a Tang Dynasty instrumental ensemble entitled "Hua Qing Palace." During the performance, you'll see various Chinese musical instruments which are no longer in use.

Cultural Dance — The second segment features Four Dances of Different Moods:
"White Ramie Cloth Costume Dance," choreographed as a demonstration of the flowing quality of Ramie Cloth, which was invented by the Chinese 1,500 years ago; "Da Nuo Dance", a masked Sorcerer's dance; "Rainbow Costume Dance", a famous dance from the Tang Dynasty; and the "Warriors Triumphal Dance."

Instrumental Musical — The third segment features a unique and complex hand-plucked stringed instrument musical called "Happy Spring Outing." Mr. Gao Ming — internationally recognized as the premier performer of the Pai Xiao, a 3,000 year-old instrument — performs "Spring Orioles Song" which originated during a Tang Emperor's accession to the throne.

Finale Clog Dance — The final presentation is a Clog Dance entitled "The Ta Ge." This style of dance is an age-old tradition that was popular in the palaces, as well as with the common people of the Tang period.
