Terra-Cotta Warriors
Noted for its ancient Chinese history, Xi'an is world-famous for it's unique "Underground Army" of clay Terra-Cotta Warriors — built to guard the first Emperor of China's tomb.

The grave's creators were buried alive in the mausoleum to ensure its secrecy...until its discovery in 1974. The site was opened to the public in 1980.
