Description & Atmosphere
Popular and trendy, this upscale "after-theater" restaurant and bar is a great place for star-spotting and people-watching. Come here to celebrate a special occasion. You might be dining next to someone famous — Madonna and Victoria Beckham ("Posh" Spice, British Soccer star David Beckham's wife) have both dined here on occasion.

No photography is allowed inside The Ivy — to protect the privacy
of celebrities. Alana celebrated a "Big" Birthday here, so we asked if we could take a photo of her Chocolate Fudge dessert (top photo), as a memento of our meal. Our waiter obliged by taking the dessert plate (and our camera)
into the kitchen and snapping a photo there — classy and obliging.

Food
Fabulous eclectic cuisine — a combination of French and English. Appetizers include Sautéed Foie Gras, Plum Tomatoes & Basil, Steak Tartare, Caviar and Mixed Sashimi.

A sample of their amazing entrées include a delicious Salmon FishCake, Shepherd's Pie, Thai-Baked Sea Bass, Herb-Crusted Cod, Saddle of Lamb, and more. And...we have it on good authority that their Hamburgers are good too — but that's the last thing we'd order in London!

Desserts are decadent. We recommend the Chocolate Soufflé — yummy! Sticky Toffee Pudding is another menu favorite. And if you like "savory" dishes, try the Welsh Rarebit — (Alana loves it).

The private room features a reception and dining area — ideal for hosting a reception of up to 120 people. The bar can accommodate up to 60 guests for drinks, and the main dining area seats up to 60.

Before our last visit, we called
more than one month in advance for a lunch reservation for a
Party of Four — the only available opening was at 2:30pm. We took
it...and it was WELL worth it!
