Description & Atmosphere
Opened in 1798, Rules is
" London's Oldest Restaurant" and one of the Most Celebrated in the World. Famous Writers, Actors and Artists have dined here, including Charles Dickens, H.G. Wells and Laurence Olivier. Hundreds of drawings, paintings and cartoons adorn the restaurant's walls.

Rules has great ambiance — it's ideal for entertaining clients and business associates. It also has Four Private Dining Rooms for special occasions and corporate events.

Food
Rules serves "Traditional English cuisine", specializing in Classic Game Cookery — they raise their own Game on their Private Estate. The Beef dishes — served with huge portions of Yorkshire Pudding — are excellent. Wonderful Starters (appetizers) set the pace for the rest of the meal.

Be sure to leave room for one of their tasty desserts — the Chocolate Soufflé is to-die-for!

The King Edward VII Room
First floor room seats up to 18 people. For Trivia Buffs, this room featured the Most Celebrated "Table for Two" in London, where The Prince of Wales wined and dined actress Lily Langtry — Rules even put in a special door so that the Prince could enter and leave in privacy.

The Charles Dickens Room
Intimate room — named after the famous writer — comfortably seats up to 16 people.

The John Betjemin Room
Ideal for Smaller Groups, up to 12 people.

The Greene Room
Named after one of Britain's Greatest 20th Century Writers — Graham Greene — the room seats up to 24 people.
