Buckingham Palace Tours —
The State Rooms and Garden,
Royal Mews & Queen's
Gallery

Summer Opening
of
The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace is the official London office and residence of Her
Majesty, The Queen of England.
During the Summer, when the Palace is not being used in its official
capacity, visitors can enjoy a tour of the State Rooms, which form
the center of the working palace. We highly recommend this fun
and educational tour.
The rooms are lavishly furnished
with some of the finest treasures from the Royal Collection, including
many priceless works of art by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto;
porcelains, sculptures, and some of the world's finest English
and French furniture.
Visit the Throne Room, the Music Room,
and the Ballroom. See where the Queen awards
knighthoods — the official sword is on display in a clear
glass case. British medals and awards, including OBE's, MBE's,
CBE's and more are also displayed.

Buckingham Palace Garden
The Palace's garden is home to over 30 species of birds and more than 350 different
wild flowers, some of which are extremely rare. Visitors end their tour with
a walk along the south side of the garden. It offers scenic views of the west
front of the Palace and its famous lake (above). The
