Eurostar

Eurostar at Waterloo Station

Eurostar — from London —
to Paris, Brussels, Lille, Calais, Avignon and Disneyland Paris

The Channel Tunnel (known as the "Chunnel") officially opened in 1994, linking Britain to the continent.

The Eurostar Express is a modern, sleek, fast train that provides daily service from London to Paris, Brussels, Lille, Calais, Avignon, and DisneyLand Paris.

London to Paris
The entire journey from the center of London to the heart of Paris takes just under 3 hours.

The train reaches speeds of 186 mph, although the ride is so smooth, you hardly feel as if you're moving at all.

Three Classes of Service
Eurostar offers three classes of service: Premium First, First and Standard.

Departures
Trains leave from Waterloo Station in London and Ashford in Kent (the last stop before going under the tunnel), with stops along the way at Calais and Lille, to its final destination in Paris at Gare du Nord.

NOTE: Be prepared to wait a while for a taxi once you get out of Gare du Nord station in Paris. During our last visit, there were no shortage of taxis when we arrived — just hundreds of people, waiting in long lines, in total chaos. It was 2:30pm on a Monday in June and we waited for about an hour.
