Description & Atmosphere
Forge in the Forest's unique setting offers three casual dining environments — saloon bar & restaurant, "al fresco" patio dining and the more intimate General Store.

The Forge Dining Saloon was once a working blacksmith shop. Today, it's an old-style bar and restaurant filled with memorabilia — popular for its large selection of California wines and imported beers.

Forge in the Forest was voted "Best Outdoor Dining in the County." — it's a lovely setting, especially on mild sunny days.

The General Store has a more intimate atmosphere and offers a Full Bar, with Lunch, Dinner and a Late Night Menu.

Food
The food at Forge in the Forest keeps us coming back every time we visit Carmel. Its extensive menu features a wonderful selection of entrees from the Grill — Steaks, Ribs, Chicken and Duck. Enjoy Gourmet Pizzas, Pasta and Seafood dishes.

Their homemade Ham & Spinach Quiche, served with a delicious Forge Salad, is the best quiche we've ever tasted! Portions are hearty, so come with an appetite.

We also love their Signature Bowl of Baked Onion Soup with Gruyere, Swiss and aged Provolone cheeses. It's sooooo good!

Lighter fare includes a variety of Fresh Salads and Sandwiches. The Chinese Chicken Salad is another of our favorites.

We enjoy eating "al fresco" at Forge in the Forest — its outdoor landscaped patio area is a FUN place to come for brunch or lunch, especially on warm sunny days. It's also nice for dinner or evening cocktails.

Forge In The Forest

During Carmel's cooler evenings, heaters and open fire pits keep you warm and cozy. It's a romantic setting, especially at night with the twinkling lights and roaring fire.

Private Parties
Forge In The Forest is a FUN place for Private Parties and Group Events. The restaurant provides special banqueting menus.

The Wine Cellar
The Wine Cellar is a special place for a small private party of 8-13 people — the unique area shows off one of California's biggest collections of Large Formal Bottles of Wine.

The Forge In The Forest and The General Store
This space works well for larger groups of up to 50 people.
