Description & Atmosphere
It's definitely worth a drive to Half Moon Bay to eat here. Known
during the Roaring '20s as the Ocean Beach Hotel, the Miramar
Beach Restaurant and Bar was originally designed and built as a
Prohibition Roadhouse. Check out their collection of old photos
(circa 1920) from around the area.
Today, it's a favorite of locals
and visitors alike. Located on the ocean's edge, it offers an incredible
view of the Pacific. Arrive early to get a window table...it's well
worth it.
The other side of the restaurant has table and booth seating in
a somewhat darker setting, with hardwood floors and a stage area.
Live entertainment every Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday
afternoon.
Food
The food is very good.
Salads are delicious, especially
the Crab & Shrimp Louie. And the Fish & Chips are almost as
good as what we get in London.
We usually like to walk on the beach
after our meal it's such a beautiful setting.
