The Lone Cypress
This is our favorite stop along the 17-Mile Drive. The beautiful Lone Cypress Tree is over 200 years old and "one of the most famous trees in the world." It's also one of California's most photographed natural landmarks along the scenic drive.

Fabulous Backdrop for Pictures
During your stop, be sure to take the steps down to the wooden deck (located just off the main parking area, about 100 yards to the left) — it overlooks the Lone Cypress Tree and offers spectacular coastline and Pacific Ocean views.
