Monterey Bay Coastal Trail
— Bike Path & Walking Trail
Take a leisurely stroll or bike ride along Monterey's Coastal
Recreation Trail — it stretches 29 miles along
the beautiful Monterey Peninsula shoreline.
Popular with joggers, skaters, walkers and cyclists, Monterey
Bay Coastal Trail (pictured above) runs along the rocky
coastline at Lovers Point in Pacific
bike path and walking trail winds its way south
from Lovers Point, along miles of beautiful Monterey Bay shoreline
to Cannery Row.
The Recreation Trail picks
up from there, leading down to Fisherman's Wharf and beyond.
Note: The unpaved part of the trail gets
much more rugged along the coastline, north of Lovers Point,
to Pebble Beach.

The Recreation Trail starts at the northern
end of Cannery
paved path runs over the old Southern Pacific railroad lines in the heart
of Cannery Row — down to Fisherman's Wharf... and beyond.
Visitors and locals come here to enjoy
walking, biking jogging and skating, Rent a 4-wheel surrey (pedal
driven carriage) and explore Cannery Row and the scenic Monterey
coastline — check out otters, sea lions and birds
along the way.
Dramatic Rock Formations at

tip of Lovers Point, overlooking Monterey Bay — its a popular
place to hike and climb...
