Description & Atmosphere
This charming little French Bistro, with red and white striped awnings, is nestled in the heart of Yountville in Napa Valley. Chef-owner Phllippe Jeanty — previously Executive Chef at Domaine Chandon for 20 years —opened Bistro Jeanty in 1998 and today it's more popular than ever.

The restaurant has a lovely homey atmosphere and the decor is authentically French. It reminds us of Toutoune, one of our favorite restaurants in Paris.

Food
Classic brasserie-style French food and recreations of Jeanty's favorite childhood dishes have put Bistro Jeanty on Napa's culinary map.

The food is, without a doubt, some of the best in Napa Valley, so it is no surprise to us that the restaurant has consistently won awards for its fine regional French cuisine.

The Creme de Tomate en Croute — Tomato Soup in Puff Pastry appetizer is sensational. It's like opening a present. First you pierce the pastry with your spoon, then discover the creamy tomato soup beneath it. This dish alone is worth a trip to Bistro Jeanty!

Main courses include Jeanty's classic Steak Frites – Rib Eye Steak, French Fries and Bernaise Sauce, Sole Meuniere —Sole with Mashed Potatoes and Lemon Caper Sauce, Moules au Vin Rouge — Mussels Steamed in Red Wine, Coq au Vin — Chicken, Mushrooms, Bacon, Red Wine Stew and a variety of other delectable entrees and daily specials.

Desserts are great too — if you still have the room. We like the Chocolate Creme Brulée or the Montbriac (a creamy Blue Cheese), one of the menu's three cheese selections.
