Description
Founded in California in 1983, Domaine Charbay Winery & Distillery is owned and operated by the Karakasevic family.

The mountaintop hideaway is located on picturesque Spring Mountain Road, in the woods above Napa Valley. (The trip up Spring Mountain Road from St. Helena is about 15 minutes.)

Known locally for their single barrel releases of Wines, Ports, Brandies, eaux de ie and Liqueurs, Domaine Charbay is a unique place to visit.

Tour & Tasting
Tours and Wine-Tastings are by appointment only, scheduled on the hour. Plan to be at the winery about 45 minutes to an hour. There is a per person fee, applied to purchase.

During our visit, Susan (co-owner and founder) introduced us to the tradition of winemaking & distilling. The tour was informative, personalized and entertaining — and we highly recommend it.

Tastings include various releases of Domaine Charbay's Port and Wines. Vodka tasting is not allowed at the distillery — it's a State law.
