Opus One

Opus One

Description
Opus One was founded in 1979
by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

In 1983, Baron Philippe came up with the name Opus — of Latin origin — allowing for easy recognition in French and English. Opus is a musical term analogous to the first work of a composer. Two days later he proposed an additional word: Opus One — and the rest is history.

Today, the highly-acclaimed — and pricey — Opus One wines are currently available in over 65 countries around the world.
