Opus One
Description
Opus One was founded in 1979
by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild.
In 1983, Baron Philippe came up with the name Opus
of Latin origin allowing for easy recognition in French and
English. Opus is a musical term analogous to the first work of a
composer. Two days later he proposed an additional word: Opus
One and the rest is history.
Today, the highly-acclaimed and pricey Opus One wines
are currently available in over 65 countries around the world.
