Stanford, near Palo Alto

Cuisine: Organic Seasonal

Description & Atmosphere
Cool Cafe really lives up to its name. Nestled deep inside Stanford University's grounds, the Cafe offers fine Organic fare in a serene, casual/upscale setting.

Willem de Kooning sculpture

The Cafe's floor to ceiling windows overlook the outside Terrace and a manicured lawn featuring a large —and impressive — sculpture by Willem de Kooning (photo above). Rodin's Sculpture Garden is just steps away from the Cafe.

Food
About 85% of the Cool Cafe's ingredients are Organic. The menu includes fresh Salads, Soups, Cafe Combo Specials, and amazing Sandwiches — we like the Diestel Turkey Breast (with Caramelized Onions, Tapenade and Honey Mustard on Baguette) and the BLTA (Niman Ranch Bacon, Lettuce,Tomato, Avocado on Wheat Bread). Cool off with a tall glass of their delicious Pink Lemonade.
