Description & Atmosphere
Even if there's a line outside Miyake which there usually
is on a weekend night it's well worth the wait. What makes
this Japanese restaurant different than most, is its upbeat party-like
atmosphere, especially at night. You might see groups of people
at a table standing on their chairs downing sake-bombs (sake-shots
dropped in a glass of beer) while the whole restaurant cheers. Even
the traditionally reserved sushi chefs are wild and kid around.
We like sitting at the sushi bar where little boats float by on
the water, although sitting at a table in the main dining room is
the heart of where most of the action takes place.
Food
Their sushi is fresh and portions seem to be a little larger than
average. Don't worry if you're not a sushi-lover because there's
plenty
of other great food to choose from, including Teriyaki Chicken,
Ribs,
Vegetable Tempura and more.
