Description & Atmosphere
Straits Cafe brings us back to when we were in Singapore, especially after tasting its amazing Singaporean/Asian cuisine. Served family-style, you are encouraged to order several dishes to share with your table. We've eaten here on numerous occasions and each time it's been a pleasure.

There are two main dining areas — one inside, and one outside. We prefer the more casual (and less noisy) outside patio. The large enclosed area is filled with umbrella tables, plants and lanterns overhead. There are heaters to keep you warm on chilly nights and live entertainment in the summer.

Inside, the large dining area is a little more formal. Tables are quite close together and decimal levels are noticeably louder. Either location is good, depending on your mood...and the wait. Comfortable bar area with limited counter seating and overstuffed sofas.

Food
Give your taste buds a treat and start with the Roti Prata (grilled Indian flat bread with Curry dipping sauce) and Satay Chicken or Lamb with Peanut Sauce. We especially like the Sayor Lodeh (fresh Veges simmered in a spicy Coconut Curry), Green Bean Sambal, the Origami Sea Bass or Salmon Filet, accompanied by an order of the Nasi Goreng (fried coconut rice with prawns and mixed veges).
