Festival & Fireworks
Redwood City's annual Independence Day Parade and Festival is held
in Downtown Redwood City. Events also include a Benefit Pancake Breakfast, 4th of July Fun Run and Classic Car Show. The Fireworks Display takes place at
Port of Redwood City.
Independence Day Parade
Redwood City's Parade is the largest Independence Day Parade
in North America — it makes a FUN day out with your family and friends :)
Parade starts at the corner of Brewster & Winslow,
then it circles downtown, along Broadway, Middlefield and Main
See Marching Bands, Floats and the newly-crowned Miss California. Great for people-watching! Visit Redwood City's website to confirm Parade time.
The Independence Day Festival runs throughout the day from 9am-5pm.
Enjoy arts & crafts, fair food
and beverages, live music, and fun people-watching. Kid's Area (no animals) includes Jump House, Clown, Magician and all-day Face-Painting.
Fireworks begin at 9:30pm at the Port of Redwood City. The fireworks can be
seen from downtown and anywhere west of Highway 101 where there is a clear
view of the skies above the Port. Wear layers and bring a jacket — it can get very
chilly at night.
