Description & Atmosphere
It's exciting to have a Cheesecake Factory here in San Francisco — we've enjoyed many a fine meal at their other locations in Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Florida and New York.

The popular restaurant/bar is located on the 8th floor of Macy's, overlooking Union Square, the Bay Area's premier shopping destination — convenient for you to eat lunch, shop, enjoy afternoon coffee and dessert, shop again, relax over drinks and dinner...you get the idea.

Ask for a table on the outdoor Sky Terrace Patio for an incredible view of Union Square and downtown San Francisco —and fun people-watching too!

Food
An extensive menu — including a new "Small Plates and Snacks" menu — offers something for everyone. Enjoy wonderful salads, pastas, fresh fish and seafood, steaks and chops, sandwiches, hamburgers and delicious house specialties.

Chinese Chicken Salad is one of our favorites... and big enough to split. Ditto the Shepherd's Pie. Seafood Pastas and Seafood entrees are always good here.

We could make a meal of the appetizers alone — our favorites include the Guacamole & Chips, Fire-Roasted Fresh Artichoke, Thai Lettuce Wraps, FireCracker Salmon, Hot Spinach & Cheese Dip and Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes.

Yummy Desserts
If you have a sweet tooth, you'll be happy to know that the restaurant offers more than 50 yummy desserts, including their specialty — 30+ types of Cheesecakes. Order a piece and ask for extra forks to share :)

Note: FYI... if you're "counting calories" you might want to check out the little book that comes with your menu. It lists the calorie count of everything featured on the menu. Then again, maybe you don't want to see it!

"Jewels on the Square"
(April thru' October_
During Spring, Summer and Fall, enjoy "Jewels on the Square" — live music, dance, outdoor movies and other entertainment at Union Square. Free admission.

Wed at 12:30pm and 6pm, Sun at 2pm. Additional show times may be added during Summer months.

During one of our visits to the Cheesecake Factory on a warm sunny day, we sat outside on the Sky Terrace and enjoyed listening to the band's music drifting up from below.

The outdoor patio is a FUN place for drinks and appetizers, especially during warm, sunny weather. Heaters are provided for warmth on chilly days and nights.

The outdoor Sky Terrace Patio is available for Private Groups of 40-50 people.

Semi-Private Area
There are no private rooms inside the main restaurant, but an area near the bar can be used for a semi-private event for groups of 60-70 people.

Reservations
The restaurant doesn't accept reservations, but they do provide vibrating pagers to let you know when your table is ready. Be prepared to wait during peak times, weekends and the busy tourist season.
