Description & Atmosphere
Louis' (pronounced Louie) first
opened in 1937. Today, it is still
as popular as ever.

The
small, casual family-owned "diner-style" restaurant offers
spectacular views. Perched just
up the hill from the Cliff House,
it overlooks the Sutro
Baths Ruins, Seal Rock,
Sutro Heights Park,
and the Pacific
Ocean.

Louis' is frequented by locals (who have been
dining there for years) and tourists who stumble upon it while
visiting Ocean Beach or nearby attractions.
It's very popular, so expect
a wait, especially during peak
dining
times.

We prefer the
booth seats in the back of the restaurant — each
one offers dramatic views. Most of the tables also have great
views.
L-shaped counter seating is available if you want to grab a quick
bite and don't want to wait for
a table.

Food
Louis' is a great place to start your day.
Breakfast choices include a variety of Eggs and Omelettes,
served with Hash Browned Potatoes and English Muffin. French
Toast, Hot Cakes and
Short Stack Pancakes are served t
il noon; Waffles til 2pm.
Delicious Homemade Soups — we
love the "red" Coney Island Clam Chowder, served
with fresh Sourdough Bread and Butter. Char-broiled Burgers and delicious sandwiches are
also popular menu items.
Dinners are served all day and include Soup
or Salad, French Fries, Sourdough Bread and Butter. Enjoy
everything from Fish & Chips, Fried Prawns, Fried Scallops
(we usually ask for a combo of Prawns and Scallops), Hamburger
Steak with Grilled Onions and New York Steak. Diet Plates and
fresh Salads are also featured on the
menu.
