816 Folsom Street

Cuisine: Mediterranean
Description & Atmosphere
It's crowded. It's big. And it's noisy. But this very popular South-of-Market
Mediterranean restaurant is also a lot of fun and it has terrific
food. The full action-packed bar is great for people-watching. Huge
martini glasses one drink is more than enough. The small
raised dining area (approximately 12 tables) is a little less noisy
than the main dining room, but not by much.
Food
Executive Chef Jody Denton and his Provençal-inspired cuisine
have made Lulu's one of San Francisco's premiere dining spots. We
like sharing appetizers and entrees with our party a great
way to taste a little bit of everything.
Piled high on the iron skillets, the Roasted Mussels are spectacular.
Luscious wood-fired rotisserie dishes and pizzas too. We also like
the Petrale Sole and Grilled Marinated Leg of Lamb. Whatever you
do, save a little room and treat yourself to dessert. The warm Chocolate
Cake with Tangerine Ice Cream is simply to-die-for! (This dessert
must be ordered in advance, when you order your meal.)
