Private Party booking is available — sessions not open to public if sold to a private party. The Rink may be closed due to bad weather or private party bookings. Skate Rental Fee. Special Group Rates.

Embarcadero Center Holiday Building Lighting Ceremony & Winter Carnival

Holiday Building Lighting Ceremony
Kick off the Holiday Season at the largest celebration on the S.F. Waterfront. The annual ceremony takes place at the Holiday Ice Rink in Embarcadero Center — around the third week in November, before Thanksgiving.

The event features skating, dancing and live entertaiment. The event includes performances by local musicians — and a spectacular Pyrotechnic Show Finale that will dazzle the City’s skyline. Four hours of free parking at Embarcadero Center from 4pm.

Winter Carnival
The Winter Carnival takes place at the Street Levels of 1, 2, 3 and 4 Embarcadero Center. Winter Carnival features fun activities for the kids — carnival games, interactive arts and crafts making booths, face painters, balloon twisters, musical performances and more! 4-6:30pm. Four hours of free parking at Embarcadero Center from 4pm.

Justin Herman Plaza
Justin Herman Plaza is the main open-air square in the Embarcadero Center complex — it's located at the foot of Market Street at the Embarcadero, just behind the Hyatt Regency Hotel — across from the Ferry Building (another top SF tourist attraction).

Justin Herman Plaza is GREAT for for people-watching!
