— FUN For Foodies
One of the hot venues to visit in San Francisco, it's the place to be on a sunny Saturday morning — and judging from the crowds, we're not the only ones who think so!

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is located at Ferry Building Marketplace, along the Embarcadero, at the foot of Market Street.

The large Saturday market (8am-2pm) is held both in front of the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero, and on the rear plaza overlooking San Francisco Bay — you can't miss the crowds.

A smaller version of the Farmers Market runs on Tuesdays (10am-2pm) in the front of the Ferry Building. Street food and limited farm stands are featured on Thursdays (10am-2pm).

Artisan Specialties
& Organic Produce
Thousands of shoppers flock here every Saturday morning to browse the stalls and buy everything from artisan breads, cheeses and jams to organic produce, olive oils and fresh flowers.

Sample Tastes
Sample "tastes" as you stroll along the outdoor market. We really like Sukhi's Indian Food samples — their dips and chutneys are delicious (look for their stall in the front of the Ferry Bldg), near Taylor's Refresher hamburger restaurant.

Taste a variety of organic fruits (peaches and plums are juicy and delicious) and artisan cheeses. We like Cowgirl Creamery and Point Reyes farmstead cheeses. Our favorite is the Original Blue Cheese — it's soooooooo creamy and delicious... try it crumbled over fresh greens... heavenly!

While browsing the Farmers Market, enjoy tasty dishes from around the world — you can tell which food vendors are the most popular by the long lines.

FREE Weekly Seasonal Cooking Demos
CUESA (the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) hosts FREE Weekly Seasonal Cooking Demos and interviews with farmers in the open-air Arcades along the front of the Building (facing the Embarcadero). The programs are free and open to the public.
