Ferry Building Marketplace
— Fun for Foodies!
— Cafes, Restaurants & Shops

FUN Waterfront Venue
Located within the historic Ferry Building along the Embarcadero, at the foot of Market Street, the Marketplace is a fun place to hang-out and relax, meet friends, eat, shop, walk and people-watch. The popular waterfront venue is frequented by locals, visitors and foodies alike. Our favorite time to come here is on Saturdays (during Farmers Market hours) — be prepared for crowds.

The spacious indoor Marketplace has a variety of fun cafes, restaurants, small eateries and gourmet shops — offering everything from coffee, chocolate, ice-cream, local fresh fish and meat, to organic produce, seasonal herbs, specialty foods, and fine wines. There's even a Caviar Cafe offering a signature caviar tasting menu — and a popular Oyster Bar overlooking San Francisco Bay.

FUN on Saturdays (8am-2pm)
If you don't mind the crowds, come to the Marketplace when the Farmers Market is in full swing — it's the place to be on a Saturday morning in San Francisco.
