African Hall, a favorite venue from the original museum, is located on Level 1.

The area features recreations of animals in their natural settings — 21 African dioramas showcase zebras, gorillas, lions, and leopards.

African Hall also includes a colony of South African Penguins (see photos).

Additionally, five of the African Hall's dioramas will feature live animals, including chameleons, tortoises, endangered cichlids from Lake Malawi and a rock python.

Daily at 10:30am & 3:30pm
Be sure to visit the Penguin Colony during feeding times — that's when the penguins are at their most playful.
