Description & Atmosphere
Over the years, our friend and business associate Paul, has recommended some great restaurants for us to try. The first time we dined at Bella Italia — one of Paul's favorite local haunts — we met him for dinner there. The cozy Italian restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping center on the corner of Tasman Drive and Lawrence Expressway.

Food
The strong aroma of garlic hit us before we even walked in the front door — we love garlic and Bella Italia doesn't skimp on it in any of its dishes.

At Paul's request, the kitchen created a special entree of Gnocchi in a deliciously rich Basil Pesto Sauce — sooooo good and great for bread dipping. We also enjoyed the Linguine Cacciuco (a combination of shrimp, prawns, clams and mussels in a light red sauce) and the Chicken & Prawns sautéed with mushrooms. Good pizza too. Overall — great food, cheerful service, casual setting and a quiet, comfortable atmosphere.
