Nathan's July Fourth International Hot Dog Eating Contest Last year (2008), Joey Chestnut beat Takeru Kobayashi in a five-dog overtime, after both ate 59 Nathan's Famous hot dogs and buns in the 10-minute regulation match. Chestnut finished his plate in 50 seconds, seven seconds before Kobayashi. In 2007, Joey Chestnut wolfed down a record 66 Nathan's Famous hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes to unseat six-time champ Takeru Kobayashi. Hot Dog Eating Contest starts at 12 noon.
