the oldest, largest and most famous of the annual parades held
in the city. The parade, featuring bag pipers, step dancers,

up 5th Avenue, from 44th to 86th
streets. Head toward
the north end of the parade route to get the best views. Note:
There's a good chance that the parade will be televised, so
if you don't like crowds, or the weather isn't cooperating, stay
