Be sure to Visit Hollywood's Walk of Fame, especially if you're visiting Hollywood for the first time. The Hollywood "Star Walk" features over 2,000 "pink stars" with names of world-famous Movie and TV Stars (see Barbra Streisand's star above).

Today, visitors can see over 2,000 5-pointed pink stars — see if you can spot your favorite "star celebrities." We really enjoyed walking along the street and checking 'em out!

Hollywood's Walk of Fame stars line both sides of Hollywood Boulevard (from Gower to La Brea), and both sides of Vine Street (from Yucca to Sunset).

The first star to appear here was in 1960 — as a tribute to artists working in the entertainment industry.

Honorees receive a star based on career and lifetime achievements in film, theatre, radio, TV, and/or music, as well as their charitable and civic contributions.

Approximately one to two new stars are added every month — so if your favorite celebrity or entertainer doesn't have a star today, they may have one the next time you visit Hollywood Walk of Fame.
