Description & Atmosphere
The trendy Ivy at the Shore is a fun place to see and be seen. It's located on Ocean Avenue, across from the beach and next door to the Il Fornaio restaurant.

Dining at Ivy at the Shore, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California

Eclectic decor fills the small, but lively open bar area and adjoining dining room. There's a smaller dining area just inside the main entrance. We prefer the private, more intimate glassed-in terrace patio, off to the side, overlooking Ocean Avenue. Full bar.

Food
The Cajun Soft-Shelled Crab and Lobster Ravioli are both amazingly tasty. Other standouts include the Mixed Grilled Vegetables with Mesquite Shrimp or Chili Lime Chicken — the portions are large and we recommend you split this dish...it's phenomenal! Good Stolis.

Patio Dining
Enjoy al fresco dining on the patio, just off the main entrance — it's a little more private and great for group events.

Celebrity Spotting
Although not as popular with celebrities as the original Ivy (near the Beverly Center mall), you should still keep a look-out for famous faces at this popular Santa Monica eatery.

After lunch or dinner, we suggest you walk the nearby Third Street Promenade — home to fun restaurants and cafes, shops, and movie theaters. It really comes alive at night, especially on weekends.
