Santa Barbara Courthouse
Historic County Courthouse
Built in 1929, Santa Barbara's County Courthouse is a popular National Historic
Landmark — visited by people from around the world. The Spanish Colonial
building is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, across from
the Public Library.
Take a self-guided tour and check out its magnificent
architecture, sunken gardens and lush landscaping. The interior
features high ceilings and colorful imported tiles.
Room, located on the second floor, has beautiful
hand-painted murals, spectacular ceilings
and wrought-iron chandeliers — it's a must-see.
Docent led Tours are offered FREE every day, except Sunday, beginning at 2pm
in the Mural Room. Additional tours on Mon, Tues and Fri at 10:30am.
Note: Court may be in session
during your visit, so don't be surprised if you see people (including
a judge and lawyers) in one of the courtrooms during your tour.

from the ground floor up the fourth floor — then climb
just a short flight of stairs and you're there.
