Epcot is one of the most fascinating places at Disney World. Divided
into several sections, Future
World explores the world of the future and World
Showcase features 11 Country Pavilions, encircling
Epcot's beautiful lagoon.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
Don't miss Epcot's "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" — a
dazzling Fireworks, Music and Laser Light Show, featured over
the World Showcase water every night — it's truly an amazing
sight.
Future World —
Spaceship Earth
As you enter the gates of Epcot, you cannot miss the huge silver
geosphere – it looks like a giant silver golf ball (see photo
above). Spaceship Earth, inside the geosphere, is a ride
that takes you from ancient civilizations
in history to the present time, exploring mans continuing search
for more efficient means of communication. The ride's finale takes
you through one of the world's largest star fields. Tip: This is
a very popular ride, so we suggest you either get there early when
the park opens, or just before park closing time.
Mission Space
The ultimate "out of this world" interactive
thrill-packed adventure is fun for everyone.
Honey, I Shrunk The Audience
Don't miss this hilarious 25-minute show, filled
with fun special effects. Prior to show time, special
3-D glasses are given to the audience to wear throughout the
performance. For best 3-D effects, sit beyond the first three
rows. This show is guaranteed
to have
you screaming —and squirming — in your seats!
Journey Into Imagination
The fun-filled Journey Into Imagination ride takes you
into a world of imagination. When you see the flashing lights towards
the end of the ride, look straight
ahead
and
smile...because
you're
on camera! At the end of the ride, your picture is flashed up on
a big screen for all to see.
Test Track
Experience 50-degree banked curves at 60 miles an
hour in this exhilarating auto test drive —
it's one of the longest,
fastest rides in Disney history.
The Land Pavilion
Living with the Land
This fascinating
and educational boat ride that takes you through a tropical rain
forest, an African desert,
a prairie and a turn-of-the-century
American farm.
Soarin
Soar high above the Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite and redwood forests in this
thrilling Disney California Adventure Park attraction, located in The Land
Pavilion.

The
Living Seas Pavilion
The Living Seas features stunningly beautiful coral reefs and an
enormous six-million gallon tank where more than 65 species of
sea life coexist. Check out the sea turtles, parrot fish, sharks,
angelfish, barracuda, dolphins and more.
Personal Note: The coral reefs
and tanks are impressive,
but they're no comparison to the Monterey
Bay Aquarium in California or the Marine
Habitat at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
Coral Reef
Restaurant
The Living Seas Pavilion
The restaurant has huge picture
windows that offers
diners
a
spectacular
panoramic
view
of the coral reef and tropical fish. Their seafood is fresh
and delicious, although a little pricey. It's a great
place for a client or team dinner.
World Showcase
World Showcase is located adjacent to Future
World. Walk to World Showcase (depending on the crowds,
this isn't
very
far) or take
a boat across the lagoon.
Travel the World
Featured World Showcase countries include: China,
Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, USA
and United
Kingdom.
Celebrate the different cultures as you
enjoy authentic cuisine, shopping and entertainment from each
country.
Most of the staff working in the restaurants, shops
and attractions hail from the countries the pavilions represent.
Here are our favorites:
United Kingdom Pavilion
This is the next best thing to actually being in Jolly Old England.
Stop by the pub and enjoy a pint of beer or have a cup of tea
and
relax
in
their
lovely
garden
courtyard
overlooking
the lagoon. Authentic English fare and fun shopping. Enjoy "British" entertainment
provided by the
World Showcase Players.
France Pavilion
Watch a fascinating 18-minute movie "Impressions de France" featuring
France in all its glory. The film is shown on a large five-section
semi-circular
screen — unlike some of the other theaters showing movies,
this one has seats. Entertaining street performers and more...
U.S.A. Pavilion
The American Adventure Show begins with the Pilgrims
at Plymouth Rock and takes you through to present time — it's
a fascinating and historical attraction that you don't want
to miss.
Trace historical African roots and influences of contemporary
African-American artists in the Echoes of Africa exhibit.
China Pavilion
Enjoy "Reflections of China" inside China's Temple
of Heaven. It's a fascinating
film, shown in Circle Vision 360. Note: The theater
has no seats, so
be prepared to stand; but it's worth it. The China
Pavilion also offers great shopping, delicious authentic Chinese
cuisine, and incredible live entertainment — Dragon
Legend Acrobats and stunning Chinese Harp performances.
