Fun Hiking Tour Volcano
Lava Tour
on the Big Island
Learn the history and heritage of Hawaii by joining this amazing
7-hour journey to the Volcanoes National Park.
Your day will start in Hilo at the beautiful Japanese Gardens
named after Queen Lili'uokalani. Here you can enjoy an awesome
view of Mauna Kea, one of the worlds tallest mountains, and a gorgeous
view of the Hamakua coast.
From here, you will be driven south to begin your ascent to Volcanoes
National Park. On your way you will experience the beauty of the
Big Island's plants, trees, and ferns. Once in the park you will
visit the Sulfur Banks, the Steam Vents, the Jagger (volcano) Museum,
Halema'um'au Crater, Thurston Lava Tube, and Kilauea Iki Crater.
And then begin your descent down toward the ocean
to the end of Chain of Craters Road, where you will hike out to
the
Lava. However, there are no guarantees of hiking time or visibility.
Only Madame Pele knows for sure where lava will flow. On the day
of your scheduled hike, the tour operators will check with the
park rangers to determine the current situation.
