Canopied Pedestrian Promenade
— Fun People-Watching

The Fremont Street Experience promenade (photo below) is a fun place to hang out and people-watch — anytime of the day, but especially during the evening hours when the place comes alive with throngs of people, street performers, free sound-and-light shows, and dazzling neon lights.

Historic Fremont Street
Historic Fremont Street is located in downtown "Old Las Vegas" — about a 20-30 minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip. Downtown is quite different to the Las Vegas Strip in that it's a much more condensed area featuring casinos, shopping kiosks, restaurants, bars, and lounges. After dark, the area is a-glow with neon lights — it's quite spectacular!

Fun Limo Break
Downtown "Old Las Vegas"

The Fremont Street Experience in downtown "Old Las Vegas" makes a fun "limo stop" if you're renting a stretch limo for a few hours — it sure beats taking a cab :)

Have your limo driver stop here so that you can see the light-and-sound show (they run every hour on the hour), enjoy walking around the canopied pedestrian mall, and visit "Old Las Vegas" casinos — some still have the old-style "one-armed bandit" slot machines (you know...the ones where you can still put coins in and pull the handle down).
