Stratosphere Tower
Centrally located, Stratosphere Las Vegas is at the top of the Las Vegas Strip. At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the US — and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.

Observation Decks
Enjoy panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and the surrounding valley. Visitors to the Tower are whisked from ground level to the observation decks in less than 30 seconds in double-decker elevators traveling at speeds of 1,800 feet per minute — or three floors a second.

The World's
Highest Thrill Rides

Enjoy FUN thrill rides 100 stories above ground. The Stratosphere boasts the World's Highest Thrill Rides — Sky Jump, X Scream, Big Shot and Insanity the Ride.

SkyJump
The Ultimate Free-Fall

Get ready to scream — if you crave excitement and adventure, then this ride is for you! SkyJump provides the highest controlled free-fall in the world. It's similar to skydiving and base jumping — but this one's over Las Vegas Strip... day or night! Before the jump, riders are suited up, taken to the top of the Stratosphere Tower, connected to a high-speed descender, and then taken to the edge of a platform where they step out and plummet 855 feet — that's 108 floors! — at a speed of up to 40 miles per hour... high above Las Vegas. What a ride!

X Scream
At 866 feet, X Scream is the world's third highest thrill ride. Shaped like a giant teeter-totter, X Scream is an open vehicle that propels riders head-first, 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower and dangles them weightlessly above the Strip before pulling it's riders back and over again for more!

Big Shot
The Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet. Traveling at 45 miles per hour, riders experience 4G's as they reach the very top, and feel negative G's on the way down.

NOTE: Statosphere's High Roller Roller-Coaster is no longer running. It was the world's highest roller coaster! At 909 feet above the ground, the High Roller rocketed around the tower pod on 840 feet of track banking sharply at 32-degree angles, traveling approximately 32 miles per hour.

Insanity
The Ride consists of an arm that extends out 64 feet over the edge of the Tower and spins passengers at up to three 'G's.' As the ride spins faster and faster, the riders are propelled up to an angle of 70 degrees. Riders will experience the thrill of being flung over the edge of the Tower and literally facing downward at the City of Las Vegas below. The ride is programmable with various ride options. An unobstructed view of historic downtown Las Vegas rewards those riders brave enough to experience three 'G's' at a height of more than 900 feet.
