Brooklyn Bridge
NY's Oldest & Most Famous Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is the oldest and most famous bridge in New York. Over 100,000 people crossed the bridge on its historic opening day — May 24, 1883. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964.

Today, it is a popular city attraction — and one of the most photographed bridges in the world. A star in its own right (and an iconic part of the New York City skyline), the bridge has been featured in many movies and TV shows — its pedestrian walkway was highlighted in a pivotal scene from the 2008 hit movie "Sex in the City."
