New York Stock Exchange

The New York Stock Exchange is one of New York City's Top 10 Tourist Destinations, with more than 700,000 visitors each year.

After 911, the NY Stock Exchange Building was closed to the public. The Tours were also cancelled.

Now tourists visit the front of the building to take photos of the most famous Stock Exhange in the world.

Again, this is to confirm that the NYSE is NOT open to the public for visits or tours

Tour Background

The NYSE Tour use to begin in the Interactive Education Center (IEC). Located directly above the New York Stock Exchange trading floor, it offered an exciting view of the brokers in action. Interactive displays werer available to help answer your questions. You could even retrieve financial information on Stocks, Bonds or Options from market data terminals.

In special circumstances, depending on "who you know," Private Trading Floor Tours could be arranged. FYI, men must wear jackets at all times while on the trading floor. (During our private tour, Barry was dressed casually and he had to borrow a jacket!)
