Young Museum in Golden Gate Park (June -Sepember 2008.
Exhibit and Pictures
Dale Chihuly's glass pieces are truly a work of
art. If a "Chihuly" exhibit is coming to
a city near you, it's well worth a visit
to see it up close and personal — these pictures just don't
do it justice.
San Francisco's Chihuly Exhibition included
the magnificent Mille
Fiori — a 56-foot garden of glass (Alana's favorite) — photos
above, the amazing Towering Purple Reeds, (photo below),
Glass Art-filled Boats (Barry's favorite) (photos
on right), Macchia and Glass Forests, Tabac Baskets,
the Saffron Tower — a 30-foot neon sculpture outside
the museum — (photo bottom left)... and more!
The Saffron Tower
As a part of Chihuly's Exhibit at the
de Young, his Saffron Tower — a
30-foot yellow neon sculpture (photo below) stands outside the de
Young museum — it's even more magnificent at night.
