Niagara Icewine
The area is also famous for Niagara Icewine (a sweet after-dinner wine) — over 90% of Canada's Icewine is produced by Niagara vintners. We tasted the Icewine for the first time during a recent visit to several wineries along the Niagara Wine Trail. It's a little too sweet for our taste (we prefer dry red and white wines), however, it's popular with locals and tourists alike. Be sure to have a taste and judge for yourself.
