Amsterdam's Markets are well worth a visit. Depending on what you like, here are a few of the most popular ones:

Albert Cuyp Market

Albert Cuyp Market, located on Albert Cuypstraat in Amsterdam's De Pijp neighborhood, is one of the largest daytime street markets in Europe. Comprised of more than 300 stalls lining both sides of the street, the busy market offers everything from fruits, vegetables, fish, cheese, and spices, to flowers, apparel, cosmetics... and fun people-watching! A popular tourist attraction, it's a great place to shop for bargains — but don't expect to find antiques. Treat yourself to a famous Dutch Stroopwafel — the deliciously sweet thin "waffle cookies" are made fresh daily at the market... yum!

Open Mon-Sat. Closed Sun.
