Elbow Beach

This beautiful long sandy stretch of beach is another island favorite. If you're staying at the Elbow Beach Resort, you have access to free beach chairs, towels, showers and rest rooms. However, these amenities are not available to the public — but the beach is. Lifeguards are on duty during the Summer months. The resort also rents paddle boats, kayaks and snorkel gear.

Jobson's Cove
Jobson's Cove

We found out about this little secluded hideaway from a British lady on our cruise ship. If you're feeling energetic, you can hike into the cove. Or you can take a taxi, like we did (it was much too hot to walk there). This gorgeous tucked-away horseshoe-shaped bay — located adjacent to Warwick Long Bay — is only 30 feet wide, and its shallow waters make it an excellent location for swimming and snorkeling. Don't forget your camera — it's a beautiful spot.

Horseshoe Bay Beach

This horseshoe-shaped bay is one of Bermuda's most famous and popular beaches. Its white/pink sand — cool to the touch, even in the hottest temperatures — feels like talcum powder beneath your feet. And its beautiful aqua waters are clear and warm. More Information and Photos of Horseshoe Bay Beach

Natural Arches private beach and its two limestone rock formation arches — one of the most photographed sights in Bermuda — was destroyed following the devasting Hurricane Fabian in September 2003.

Secluded Coves and Rock Formations

If you're in an adventurous mood and feel like exploring a little, follow one of the trails over the hill to a nearby secluded cove. If the tide is out, walk down to the far end of Horseshoe Bay Beach and walk around the corner to beautiful rock formations, private coves and breathtaking views — it's WELL worth the exercise. You might get wet climbing over the rocks to get a good photo, so bring a disposable camera.

Tobacco Bay Beach
Tobacco Bay

This popular Public Beach is on the other side of the island, close to the historic town of St. George's. (It used to be the old Club Med.) Like Horseshoe Bay, it can get very crowded, especially if the cruise ships are in port. Its facilities include showers, restrooms changing rooms and a snack bar. Beach rentals are also available.

Warwick Long Bay
Warwick Long Bay

With its half-mile stretch of sand – the longest on the island – Warwick Long Bay is a beach-lover's delight, especially if you crave solitude.

However, there are no facilities, rentals, or lifeguards on duty — restrooms and parking are located at the end of the beach.

This beautiful secluded beach is ideal for morning yoga, jogging, or taking a long, leisurely walk. Enjoy a romantic picnic, relax with a good book, and swim to your heart's content.
