Monterey Bay Aquarium

Monterey Bay Aquarium
Monterey Bay Aquarium is located
on Monterey's historic Cannery Row, just a short drive from Carmel
and Pebble Beach — and within easy walking distance from downtown
Monterey shops, restaurants and waterfront hotels.
The aquarium doesn't look all
that impressive from the outside, but wait until you see what's
inside! The Monterey Bay Aqaurium is considered to be one of
the best
and largest aquarium's in
the
world.
Plan to spend plenty
of time
here,
especially
if it's your
first visit — there's a lot to see!

The Monterey Bay Aquarium was listed as one of the top U.S. destinations
for young travelers in Travel & Leisure Magazine — as
one of the "10 Places to See Before You're
10." Whatever your age, you're gonna love this aquarium!
Award-Winning Exhibits
One of our all-time favorite exhibits at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
was "Jellies:
Living Art." The
award-winning exhibit included jellyfish never exhibited
in North America before,
such as the graceful Flower Hat and Blue Jellies.

White Shark
Sharks are always a popular attraction at any aquarium — and the "White
Shark" at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
was no exception. The white shark was brought to
the
aquarium
on
August
27,
2007 — before
being tagged and released into the wild on September 7, 2007. Monterey Bay
Aquarium
remains
the only aquarium in the world ever to exhibit a white shark for
more than
16 days.
