Talk of Broadway
"Downtown Coffee Shop"
2096 Broadway @ Jefferson
650-368-3295
Cuisine: American
Description & Atmosphere
Just go where the locals go and you usually can't go wrong. We
could tell by the crowds every time we passed by here, that this
small casual-style
diner was the
"talk
of Broadway."
Located around the corner from the Century 20 Theaters, it's
a convenient spot for a casual-style Breakfast/Brunch before catching
a movie.
Decor is pretty basic,
but there's nothing basic about their food — it's very good.
Combine that with friendly service, hearty portions and reasonable
prices
and
it's easy
to
see why this place is such a popular haunt among locals,
families and visitors alike.

Food
We really like their Eggs Florentine (two poached
eggs with perfectly-sauteed spinach piled atop an English muffin,
topped with a deliciously light hollandaise sauce, served with
fresh fruit or potatoes.
Other breakfast standouts include Egg Scrambles
and Specials, Eggs Benedict, Omelets, Oatmeal, Pancakes,
Fresh
Crepes... and a Special Kid's Breakfast.

Lunch and Dinner Specials feature classic Fish & Chips,
Spaghetti, Grilled Chicken Teriyaki, Pork Chops, Beef Teriyaki,
NY Steak...), plus
big juicy Hamburgers and thick Milkshakes, Fresh Salads,
and a huge selection of Sandwiches (served
with your choice of French Fries, Coleslaw, Potato Salad or
a Small Salad).
Our bet is that you'll leave here feeling full and satisfied...
with a smile on your face :)
