Cuisine: Californian

Description & Atmosphere
Cozmo's popular neighborhood restaurant is located in the Marina district, on the corner of Chestnut and Fillmore. It's a little more casual and reasonably-priced than its sister restaurant in downtown S.F., the Cosmopolitan Cafe. Cozmo's large, square-shaped upscale bar dominates the room. It's a great place for a drink and is extremely popular weekend evenings — the place is buzzing and it's fun for people-watching. Come early so you can enjoy a stroll down Chestnut Street before your meal.

Food
As a Starter, we recommend the Crisp Calamari and Spicy Orange Sauce — it's very good and a lot lighter and less greasy than other Calamari appetizers we've had in the past. First courses include a delicious Chilled Avocado Soup an an excellent Caesar Salad. Other options — Chilled Oysters on the Half Shell, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Grilled Artichokes, and Creamy Leek and Fontina Fondue. Entree selections range from Pizzas and Pastas to Seafood, Chicken and Steak. We like the Seared Scallops, Spice-Crusted Ahi-Tuna, Saffron Linguine, and Grilled Angus Flatiron Steak.

If you still have room for dessert, try one of their most popular creations — the warm baked-to-order Scharffen Berger Chocolate Chip Cookies with a Tahitian Vanilla Malted Milkshake (allow 12-15 minutes).

Cozmo's also has an outstanding wine list. The Cosmopolitans are OK — they are a little sweet for us, however the Stolis (and olives) are excellent.
