the large rustic
brick building with red awnings on Howard Street,
in San Francisco's popular SOMA district.

Hot SF Restaurant
We were wondering whether
Town Hall — one of the city's
hottest new restaurants —
would live up to its reputation.
It did...and then some!

The 110-seat restaurant, with
its exposed brick, high ceilings,
paneled windows, and stunning chandeliers, gives
it a distinct
East
Coast feel. Add to that a
fun
"West Coast buzz" and
amazing food and it's easy to
see why
Town
Hall has such a following among foodies.

This
is a fun destination for a romantic dinner, to celebrate a
special event or to entertain VIP clients and out-of-town guests.
Food
Town Hall's frequently changing menu offers diners an eclectic
array of
regional American cuisine — and an impressive wine list. Depending on the season, our appetizer picks include the tasty
Heirloom
Tomato Salad with organic watercress, rustic breadcrumbs and garlic
buttermilk
dressing.
And Faith's
Warm Ham and Cheese Toast with poached egg and jalapeno cream
actually tastes much better than it sounds —
you may
want to split this appetizer because it's very
rich...but
in a good way!
Slow-Roasted Duck — WOW!
If you like duck, be sure to order
Town Hall's Slow-Roasted
Duck with toasted wild rice — the
combination of tender duck, crispy
skin, spiced dates, pecans and sweet gingersnap gravy makes
this the best duck combo we've ever tasted...bar
none.
Equally impressive is the Duo of Niman Ranch Lamb with
goat cheese potato gratin, eggplant puree and nicoise olive Madeira
sauce. Other menu offerings include everything from Dayboat
Scallops, Alaskan Halibut and Roasted Trout, to Pork Chops, Rib-Eye
Steak,
Risotto and Buttermilk Fried Chicken.
Desserts include Strawberry Shortcake, Apricot
Melba Pound Cake, Plum Jelly Doughnuts, Butterscotch & Chocolate
Pot
de Creme — and
what Town Hall boasts is " San Francisco's
Best Cup of Hot Chocolate."

After
dinner, check out the cute little "Rock Garden" that
sits just adjacent to the patio area.
