Sonoma — Many Moons
Sonoma is an Indian word, meaning "many moons." Author Jack London enhanced this in his novel, "Valley of the Moon," referring to the simple pleasures of country life, written during his stay in Sonoma Valley.

Historic Town Square
Visit Sonoma's beautiful and historic Plaza — site of the Pomo and Miwok Indians' sacred meeting ground, the Bear Flag Revolt and home of California's last mission.

Surrounding the Plaza are numerous restaurants, chic boutiques, jewelry stores, and specialty shops.
